Swathi Gajendra
CH1 Assistant Guide
How did you discover Montessori? My journey with Montessori began through my own experience as a parent. After a decade-long career in banking as a Client Service Manager, I discovered Montessori while searching for a school for my son that would support not only his academic growth but also his overall development and unique potential. I began exploring Montessori to support him at home, and what started as a personal journey soon grew into a deep passion for the Montessori philosophy and approach to education.
Why do you love being a Montessori Guide? I love being a Montessori Guide because it allows me to observe, understand, and support each child as an individual while fostering independence, curiosity and confidence. I find great joy in learning alongside children and supporting their academic, social, and emotional development as they grow into confident and independent individuals. There is truly no other profession like it, and I feel grateful to be a Montessorian.
What about WSM attracted you to the school? I was drawn to WSM because of its commitment to authentic Montessori principles and its focus on nurturing the whole child. I am excited to be part of a community that values independence, respect, collaboration, and the unique potential of every child. I look forward to contributing my experience, continuing to grow as a Montessori educator, and building meaningful relationships with the children, families, and educators at WSM.
