Job Opportunity: Part-Time Spanish Guide, Elementary and Adolescent Programs
WSM is seeking a part-time Spanish guide to join our Elementary (ages [6–12]) and Adolescent (ages [12–15]) communities.
About the role
The Spanish guide offers language lessons that build conversational skills, vocabulary, reading, and writing. The guide also brings Spanish-speaking cultures to life for students. Lessons are adapted for two developmental levels: hands-on, collaborative work with elementary children, and more independent, discussion-based work with adolescents. The guide works alongside our lead guides to connect language learning to the broader curriculum.
We are looking for someone who:
Is fluent or native in Spanish, with strong English communication skills
Has experience teaching or working with children ages 6–15
Respects children as capable, independent learners
Is open to learning and working within the Montessori approach (Montessori training or experience is a plus)
Is collaborative, reliable, and warm

Substitute
Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm, Hours and Days Vary
$17.50/hour
The substitute reports directly to the Director of Toddler and Children’s House Programs. The substitute supports the classroom Guide in supervising and guiding the children’s activities academically, emotionally, and physically in a prepared Montessori environment that is in accordance with Montessori philosophy and WSM policies.
Substitutes are needed at all levels and programs (Toddler, Children’s House, Elementary, Adolescent, Elementary/AP Spanish, and Elementary/AP P.E.).
