“There was a child went forth every day, And the first object he looked upon and received with wonder or pity or love or dread, that object he became.”
- Walt Whitman
How did you discover Montessori? My mother was a Montessori teacher. I didn’t go to Montessori school, but her influence on me and my children was enormous. I raised my three children in a Montessori home and my son is a Montessori Teacher and Director of a Public Montessori Middle School. I taught Montessori for 32 years. It is a philosophy of life for our family.
Why do you love being a Montessori teacher? I love working at a job that is part of my life and living a life that is part of my job!
What about WSM attracted you to the school? I love the community, the commitment to the land and nature and their commitment to an authentic Montessori experience for all.
