Frequently Asked Questions
The TMSfund is our annual giving campaign and the cornerstone of all our fundraising efforts. It plays a critical role in helping us expand and enhance the educational experience of our current and future students, from continuous program and facilities enhancements and ongoing professional support for our faculty and staff, to expanded financial aid resources for current and future families.
Our TMSfund goal for this year is $75,000 with 100% participation from our Board, faculty/staff and current families.
Along with supporting professional development and financial aid opportunities, we have set the following priorities for enhancing our facilities and programs.
- Installing an expanded outdoor amphitheater for our whole community
- Upgrading technology resources for faculty and the elementary program
- Renovating our entrance sign to represent our rich history and strong future
Annual funds are common practice among independent schools. The TMSfund is used to support the school’s continual pursuit of improved excellence. The TMSfund provides for opportunities beyond the basic operating expenses (salaries, benefits, utilities, maintenance, etc.) already covered by tuition. Covered by our TMSfund include those items that help make a TMS education the best it can be, from facilities improvements and technology enhancements to ongoing professional development for faculty and staff.
The TMSfund is most powerful when each family, teacher, administrator and trustee contributes. As TMS begins to seek more charitable donations from foundations and corporations, 100% participation is critical. These potential donors will only consider giving their support with this strongest sign of commitment from those who know us best.
Yes! Every gift is important and valued. Just three gifts of $200 put a new iPad in the hands of a teacher. $1,000 sends a teacher to a national conference and $1,500 helps make our amphitheater a reality or may make a TMS education possible for another child.
If you are considering a one-time donation, please consider a monthly gift through automatic bank draft, easy to set up and easy to make the meaningful gift you want. Consider the impact if every family who gave $100 in the past would consider a $30 monthly donation. Wow!
Being a part of the TMS community adds significant value to the lives of our children and families. We encourage you to give in an amount that is meaningful for your family. Whether your gift is $50 or $5,000, a message of 100% participation speaks. Ultimately, it is not how much you give but that you give.
