Admissions Process

Making decisions about a child’s education is one of the most important decisions we make as parents. During the admissions process, we aim to provide you with all the information you need to make the most informed decision possible.

Our website has lots of helpful information about the Montessori approach to education, as well as information about our school.  An additional resource is the American Montessori Society, a professional organization dedicated to supporting quality Montessori education, where we hold a full membership.  In a nutshell, we can say with confidence that our school provides an extraordinary education, a place where children are free to explore, follow their passions and satisfy their curiosity. Each child is nurtured, respected and learns at their own pace under the guidance of caring teachers who inspire and challenge our students. In Montessori’s unique child-centered approach to education, each child builds a strong sense of self and the skills to communicate, collaborate and make a meaningful contribution to the larger community. Students take responsibility for their learning, they are active and engaged participants. Strong partnerships between the parents and school play a significant role in each child’s success.

Our school year is from mid-August through early June.  While August is the primary entry point for our students, children ages 18 months through 5 years can enroll starting in January when space is available.  We offer fun camps through our Summer Ventures program.

Interested in learning more about our school?

Step 1: Parent Visit -Attend a School Tour (held most Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. throughout the school year). Schedule a visit. Note: Given the nature of the School Tour, this is an adults-only program.

Step 2: Application - Submit an application and a $75 non-refundable fee. Applications are available at the School Tour and are valid for 2 years.

Step 3: Child Visit - For children 3 years or older, a child visit is scheduled when an opening has been identified.

Step 4: Decision – You will be notified of our decision after your child’s visit or when an opening is identified. In making admissions decisions, we give preference to families whom we believe are committed to learning about the Montessori philosophy and embracing the long-term value of a Montessori education.
